Hello and good morning my DEAR and AMAZING Family!!!!!
Today was such an AMAZING P-Day!! Wow! It was so much fun and I got to see a ton of cool sights! It was such a fun day and I loved emailing you! We woke up and drove to Newark and I dropped off Elder Caccioppoli and then met Elder Reese and then we drove to BJ's to do our grocery shopping and it is right on the East side of Jersey City and so we had some cool views as we walked in to do our shopping! After shopping, we went to Liberty State Park that had amazing views of Lower Manhattan! There is a memorial for September 11th 2001 and it's called the "Empty Sky" memorial and it has these 2 huge pillars that represent how different the skyline looks. It is always so powerful to see the World Trade center and it was so weird to be on the other side of the island! I have spent 6 months in Manhattan looking into Jersey City and its so funny that I'm on this side now! Hehe!
Tuesday was another very great and successful day! It was the last district meeting of this cycle and Elder Caccioppoli's last District Meeting of his mission. I hope your day went well and that you had fun too! I'm really anxious about trainer calls tomorrow! I'm really hoping and would love to get one! I loved the opportunity to train Elder Williams so much and would love to train another missionary for my last 2 transfers! That sounds so weird to say that I only have 2 transfers left! Crazy!
I'M SO VERY HAPPY AND EXCITED RIGHT NOW!!!!
Thursday was so very amazing too!!!! I woke up and was really excited to have an email from you! It was so fun to hear from you and I really loved your email! We had a really amazing day and it went by so fast! Tomorrow we have the "Train the Trainer" meeting in Morristown at 9:45 and I'm so excited to go! The weather was perfect again and we had some very nice temperatures and got lots done! We cleaned our apartment from top to bottom and it didn't take us very long because we keep up on it during the week. Then Elder and Sister Jensen came over to inspect our apartment and they have a $10.00 award for the cleanest apartment in the zone and so we really wanted to win! While we were cleaning, I received some incredible and amazing news!!! I was so excited and could hardly believe it! I got a notification from Elder Mitonzi and he sent me a message with some pictures and I couldn't believe what it said! He told me that Johanna Parades from the Bronx got baptized today! Brother Romulo Paredes referred himself to have missionaries come over when I was serving there and Elder Mitonzi and I had some of the most amazing lessons with them! We felt the spirit so strong and we had a lesson with them the day after transfers and so we were sad to leave them. I took a screenshot of when I was talking about them when I was serving in the Bronx and I can remember how excited we were that he had referred himself! I had no idea how they were doing until I got a message today saying that she got baptized! Missionary work is just so amazing and no effort is wasted! Those 3 lessons that we had before we got transferred were so special and here we are a few months later and she is baptized! I took a screenshot of Elder Mitonzi's conversation that he had with Johanna and how she was talking about us and how much she missed us. This work is just so amazing and I'm so happy for her and her Family right now!!!!!

After we finished cleaning the apartment, Elder and Sister Jensen came over to our apartment to inspect it and they thought it was so nice! They were really impressed and said that it has gotten so much better over the last 2 inspections since we got here! We got a really high score and so I happy about that! Hopefully we can beat the other apartments! Hehe! Then we did some tracting before our appointment with the Marvin Family and it went really well! We taught them the last lesson that they needed for baptism and so we are really excited that they have been taught everything. But now we need to figure out a way for them to be in Church each Sunday and so that is our next task with them and then we will be able to baptize them! As we were tracting, we were walking past a driveway going to knock on their door and I saw something that got me really excited! A county #2 Wyoming license plate!!! They came out right as we were walking down their driveway and they were obviously in a hurry and they said that they couldn't talk. But once I said that I noticed their Wyoming license plate, they stopped and talked to us for a minute! They aren't from Wyoming but it was her son's car that he was using before he joined the Air Force. They asked me what connection with Wyoming I had and then I told them "County 2 is Laramie-Cheyenne" and they thought that was pretty cool that I knew that! She said that he lived in Cheyenne for a few years and so they drive his car around! It was a really fun connection and I put my hand over my heart in honor of you even though it wasn't county 8 for Grandma Lindberg! Hehe!
Then we got a text from Sister Bautista and she said that she wanted to deliver food to our apartment instead on taking us out to eat because her husband wasn't going to get off of work until really late. So she sent us pictures of the menu and we ordered while we did some tracting! It was really cool how it worked out! We had some teenager yell "Hey Mormon Missionaries" and so we went over to talk to them. They weren't really interested in talking to us but we did give one of the teenagers, who loves to read, a copy of the Book of Mormon. Then we came back to the apartment and met Sister Bautista and she delivered the food to us! We offered to meet her but she really wanted to make it special and deliver it to us. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and it came with French fries and then she ordered us some extra mozzarella sticks and it was so tasty! The members are always so good to take care of us and we really appreciated it! Then we headed out to go tracting for the rest of the night and we met some great people! There was a lady out walking her dog and we had a nice conversation with her! I have been so very excited all day and still on cloud 9 from my Trainer call and I'm so excited that I get to train again! It will be such a special experience!!! I was thinking about Brandon a lot because he has a Football game tonight and so I was cheering him on all the way from New Jersey! We talked to a few nice people but they told us that we were knocking on door way too late at night but we just kept pushing forward and got a few names to go back and visit! I'm so very excited for my Train the Trainer meeting tomorrow morning! I hope Dubbie won his Football game! LOVE YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!!!!!

Friday was such an awesome and amazing day!!!!! I GOT MY FLIGHT PLANS!!!! I'm so excited to train and the meeting today just made me even more excited and I'm really looking forward to it! It will be so much fun to show him the ropes and I hope that I can teach him well! I was really excited to get your email and was so happy to hear that Brandon won his game! That is so exciting and they played great! Thanks so much for thinking of me! I'm also SO VERY excited because I got my flight plans!!!! I was so excited to see them and I was really excited because you got a copy too! I'm so excited because I found out that I will fly into Salt Lake much earlier than the New York missionaries would normally fly in! I think that Elder Palmer didn't fly in to Salt Lake until 4:00. I was really excited to see them and was excited to see that I fly out of LaGuardia airport which is in Queens and I fly to Chicago for a 2 hour layover! It was such an exciting day to say the least and I'm so very excited to see you all!!!!!!!!! I was excited for the meeting and I was so happy that I get to be a trainer again! It's crazy to think that it was over 9 months ago that I started training Elder Williams and at that time it was right after New Year's day! Once we got ready for the day, we drove about an hour to Morristown and got there at 9:45 and the meeting started at 10:00! The meeting was so awesome and we had a ton of trainers there! We had 11 Elders and 3 Sisters that were training and the meeting was so interesting! We talked about some of the things that our own trainers did with us and how we can use and apply those to training our own missionaries! They talked about some of the challenges that new missionaries face and how we can do lots of different activities and mix it up to keep our trainees motivated. They also told us to get our trainees involved in the work as soon as possible and be humble enough to learn from our trainees! I wrote down a ton of different notes and then we had lunch after and we had lasagna, rolls, salad, and Klondike bars for dessert! I'm so excited for these next 2 transfers and it's so crazy to think that these are my last 2 transfers! I'm thinking about not telling my trainee how long I've been out and just say something like "I've been having so much fun that I lost count!" Hehe! I'm so humbled and grateful for this opportunity and I can't wait to tell you all about him! Transfers are on Tuesday morning and all of the trainers need to be in Newark at 8:45 and the new missionaries fly out on Monday! I still feel like I'm a brand new missionary myself! Hehe! I have something cool to tell you! One of the missionaries that will be training is from Afton Wyoming! His name is Elder Niles Southam and he will be training! I got to talk to him during lunch and he said that he was at the Star Valley Temple open house and he knew where Grandma and Grandpa Lindberg's barn and house was! I told him that it was the big, green barn with the "L" on it and he knew right where it was! It was such a cool connection and it was fun to talk to him! He was called to serve in Nicuagua and served there for 10 months but got transferred to here because of the violence that is going on. Small world! After the meeting was over, I was even more excited to train and was really happy! I was thinking about you and sending lots of love your way! I have been totally loving my mission and I'm so grateful for the person I've become and the experiences I've been able to have! Tracting went so well and the temperature felt so nice! It has been the perfect temperature recently and has gotten down to the low 50s! We could even see our breath a few days ago! We went to a street in Montague called "Minisink Drive" and most of the people there were Christian and have lived in Montague for over 60 years and so it was fun to talk to them! We even gave out 2 copies of the Book of Mormon to a Catholic man in his 80s and he said that he fought in a couple of the wars! Then we were walking up a flight of stairs to knock on a door and a man walked out onto his porch and he told us that he was a deacon pastor for his Bible church and he basically told us what he believes and we agreed with almost everything and the Church believes everything that we believe but he had a hard time with the Book of Mormon and says that nothing should try to replace or be compared to the Bible. We had a great talk with him but he wouldn't accept a copy of the Book of Mormon. Maybe next time! I hope that you had an amazing and fun Friday! I was thinking about you so much and I wish that I could give you a hug right now! Air hug from New Jersey!!! LOVE YOU TONS!!!!!
1 Week until General Conference!
Thank you so very much for the email! I was really happy to hear that you got the day off from work and school! It is always so much fun to get emails from you and I really appreciate them so much! Today was so great and I was excited for the transfer call even though I knew I wouldn't be getting transferred and so it took the pressure off! They announce the whole mission and where everyone is getting transferred to and so I really enjoyed hearing all of the mission news! We woke up to lots of fog and we could hardly see out of our window. My morning studies were so amazing and I have loved studying the Doctrine and Covenants more in depth and reading it all the way through! It has been so amazing and I feel the spirit's influence in my life every day! I know that the Church of Jesus Christ is the only true Church on the Earth today that has the keys and authority to perform all of the ordinances for salvation. I love the Gospel and have developed an even better relationship with you, Heavenly Father, and his son Jesus Christ. I'm so thankful that I can serve a mission and teach the Gospel to everyone we meet! It has been such a joy and a blessing to have you right by my side! It's so fun to think that I will get to meet my trainee in just a few short days! Tuesday is going to come up so fast! I can't wait to start this new missionary off on the right foot and set the stage for his whole mission! I truly have felt so much love from you and I can't believe how quickly the time is passing! Today was Elder Caccioppoli's last full day of proselyting since we have Church tomorrow, P-day on Monday, and we get to be in Newark by 8:45 and so today was pretty much his last full day! Crazy! He can't believe how fast his time went either! It's funny because I got thinking how I will send Elder Caccioppoli home and I will bring a new missionary into the field! I have been studying and praying to know how to help him and what to teach and I'm really excited for the miracles we will see! I was looking at my flight plans and I'm so excited that I will fly in to Utah so early! It's so fun to think that I will be home by 12:30! It is really exciting to see! After our morning studies, we did a lot of tracting for most of the day and tried to visit a few former investigators that haven't been contacting in a long time. Elder Caccioppoli can't believe how quickly his last week went. He says that he felt like it went by even quicker than usual. We went to a cool street close to our apartment and knocked on tons of doors! While we were out, we got some exciting news from the Sister Missionaries in our ward! They told us that they were told today that they are both getting transferred out of the Ward and so my new companion and I will be taking over the entire ward and we will get all of the investigators that the Sisters are teaching and we will be the only missionaries in the ward! It was pretty exciting news! Tracting went so well and the very first door we knocked on, a nice lady in her 60s answered and told us that she was taking care of her Mom that had Alzheimer's disease. We offered to do service and she almost started to cry because she has been so overwhelmed with taking care of her Mom and her yard and has felt bad that she hasn't kept it as pretty as her Mom did and so she told us that she would text us to come over next Saturday with my new trainee! It was such a neat experience! Even though it was Saturday, there weren't very many people home but we were able to give out a few copies of the Book of Mormon and so we were happy about that! I hope you were all having an amazing and fun Saturday just like I was!
Today was just such a great day and I have realized how many cool things happened today as I'm typing this! After dinner, we went to visit Carlo that we found tracting a few days ago and he was busy taking care of his newborn and his 2 autistic sons but he was willing to talk to us for 15 minutes and we had a great conversation about the Plan of Salvation! Sister Stevenson wrote her testimony inside of a copy of the Book of Mormon and I felt prompted to pull it out of my bag and thought to myself "this is the guy we need to give it to!" He was so touched that someone would take the time to write their testimony and asked us about our spirits and where they go after we die. He says that his wife is a 7th Day Adventist and believes we are unconscious until the resurrection but he just looked at us and shook his head and said "but I just can't seem to believe that and I feel like there is something more I'm missing." It was a very powerful moment and we testified to him that we knew where we came from before this life, we know why we are here, and where we are going. He just looked at us and smiled and said "thank you so much, you have no idea how much this means to me." It was one of the coolest moments of my mission! Then we went to Highland Lakes for the rest of the evening and we could hear a High School band off in the distance and it sounded so cool! It got dark at about 7:15 and people were wondering why we were out so late but then they looked at their clocks and realized that it wasn't that late! Hehe! The very last house at a dead end street, we walked up a driveway and realized that a lady in her 40s or 50s was standing outside next to a fire she had made in her fire pit. It was pitch black and dead silent and so we really didn't want to scare her. Luckily, she saw us and asked us who we were. We introduced ourselves and found out that she is very religious and loves the Bible and the teaching of Jesus Christ. She was very intrigued when we excitedly told her that a living, modern day Prophet is on the Earth at this very moment and he will be speaking next weekend!! We hope she comes and that she will enjoy watching it! After we got back to the apartment, we logged on to the conference call and it was weird to already know that I am staying in Sparta and I already knew that I was getting a new missionary and so the conference call was very interesting since I already knew the news! Hehe!
It was a lot of fun to hear my name to the whole mission and President Hess announced that I would be training and so it was a lot of fun! Today was just such a great day and I'm really looking forward to meeting my trainee! This is going to be such a special time in my mission I can tell! I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ can bring us the most joy and happiness to our lives and I'm so thankful for each one of you! Not a second goes by that I'm not thinking about you and sending my love and prayers your way! I'm doing great and loving my mission so much! Have a great Sabbath my dear loved ones! LOVE YOU TONS!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Sabbath everyone!

Today was a really awesome day and I was so very excited for your email and pictures! It always is so much fun to read how your week went and I'm always so thankful for the many fun details and pictures you send! I really appreciate them so much! You sure had an amazing and fun week and I'm so happy for all of you! Today was fast Sunday for us since General Conference is next weekend and so we enjoyed all of the testimonies! It was really wierd to realize that I would be the only missionary left from the group of 4 of us that have been serving in this ward! It is always fun to take responsibility and train a new missionary and introduce him to everyone! Sister Wagner and Sister Briggs both got transferred to different areas and so they said goodbye to everyone and so did Elder Caccioppoli since he is going home. I'm really excited that Sparta will be my last area on my mission! What a fun place to finish!
Church went so well and I got to bear my testimony and share the experience that I had with Johanna getting baptized and how we never know the impact that we can have on others. They announced that a brand new missionary would be coming from the MTC and so the Ward was very excited for that! I was happy that I didn't have to say goodbye to everyone and Elder Caccioppoli can't believe that this was his last Sunday. We got invited to a dinner that they are having in between sessions of conference and I'm so excited that I get to watch it with my trainee! It will be so fun that his first weekend in the field is General Conference weekend! Our sacrament meeting numbers were a little low and we didn't have as many people and Sister Asay was in Laramie for the Boise State game but we still had some amazing testimonies! I was thinking about you a lot and I was getting more and more excited by the minute for your email! We tracted for the rest of the day and Elder Caccioppoli wasn't sure if he was ready to be done with his mission and he felt pretty anxious the whole day. He really wishes that he could serve for longer just so he doesn't have to go to school. We had a great talk about the area and how exciting it will be to have the entire ward to cover and also having a brand new missionary! We knocked on tons of doors and them went to a neighborhood where everything was pretty spread out and so we did a lot of walking. It has been fun to see all of the Halloween and fall decorations! People go all out over here and they have their whole yards decked out with Halloween decorations! It is the best time of year and I love the Fall! I saw this one house about a week ago and it had Jets decorations everywhere! When I say every, I mean this house literally was covered in Jets decorations everywhere you looked. It was really crazy! It has been getting pretty chilly lately and so I have been wearing my long sleeve shirts. Another amazing day is in the books for Elder Lindberg and I got back to the apartment REALLY excited and happy for your email! I just couldn't wait to hear from you! You sure had a awesome and great week and I loved your email and pictures SO MUCH!!! Elder Caccioppoli sure had a great last Sunday in the mission field and he enjoyed talking to all of the members. Thanks again for your awesome email! It makes me so very happy that you are all well and happy! I'm so excited to talk tomorrow! Elder Caccioppoli doesn't need to buy anything and so I will be buying a few things to get Elder "so and so" started off right! Hehe! That is what I will have to call him for the next 2 days! Hehe! I was so happy that your week went well and that all of your activites were fun! I can't say this enough! LOVE & MISS YOU SO VERY MUCH MY DEAR LOVED ONES!!!!!

Well best Family ever!
As usual, you made my whole week with your email and fun pictures from the week! It really means a lot to have such fun emails get! I am really loving my mission and I continue to learn and grow every day! I was so happy that you got my flight plans and were as excited as I am! I hope you have another fun and exciting week and I am so excited to get your package! I was so excited to hear that a package is coming my way and I'm so excited for General Conference as well! I hope that you all enjoy watching it and have lots of yummy treats! We will be watching it at the Church and Brother Asay showed us how to set it up and they have a really nice set up in the Sparta chapel! The audio is HD and they have a giant projector screen and lighting just for watching conference! It will be perfect and I'm so excited to know that we will be watching it at the same time! I'm especially excited that I get to watch it with my new Companion! Who knows, we might be the only 2 there! Hehe! I am so excited to hear the messages and I can't wait to hear your thoughts! It's amazing that we are so blessed and lucky to have a living Prophet on the Earth today that leads and guides the Church! I hope you all have such a fun Conference weekend and have a fun get together! I will be thinking about you a lot! Good luck with work, school, Football, General Conference, and everything else going on! Have such a great and fun week!!! LOVE & MISS EACH ONE OF YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
