A Tribute to Grandpa Evans

Tanner sent a couple of other emails today after he went to Yankee Stadium. For as long as I can remember my dad has loved the Yankees! I know this is not the same Stadium that the Yankees used to play in when my dad would watch them on TV but I will always think of my dad when I hear about the Yankees. I am happy Tanner got to go there today and that he was thinking about his Grandpa Evans. I too know that he was probably smiling down on Tanner today. Love you Dad!

What a great time! I can't wait for you to see the pictures! I took so many! Enjoy!! The whole time I couldn't help but think of Grandpa Evans. I know he was looking down smiling. I was thinking about him the whole time I was there! I miss him so much! That was an experience I will never forget! I can't wait to talk to you and hear from you next P-Day! You are such an incredible family! LOVE YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!

Love Always!

Hello again my dear family! I just wanted to send out one more email before we head to the Church for our interviews! We had such an incredible P-Day!!! What can I say other than WOW! It was so amazing!! Yankee Stadium is so cool! What a great experience! There is always something so cool to see! I just uploaded all the pictures to my drive! It was such an amazing experience! The stadium is so amazing! We found out something so cool! There is actually a game tonight and they play against the White Sox! So it was amazing to see all of the fans decked out in Yankee gear! We got to the stadium and it was right there where we got off the train! There were tons of fans and cool Yankee gear! We went into the Yankee store and Elder Kirkham told me that everything was really expensive in the Yankee store and boy was he right! Everything I there was very expensive but I really wanted a mini bat for Dad! I love that you have been collecting the bats and I wanted to add to your collection. They had a great deal going on where it was 2 bats for $15.00 which is a great deal but Elder Kirkham thought that they would be cheaper at a store across the street from the stadium that sells Yankee gear. So after looking around in the other stores across street they were the same price but they looked and felt pretty cheap. They weren't as nice as the ones in the actual Yankee store. So after looking around, I decided to get some at the actual Yankee store but when we went to the door......it was locked. They told us that the store was closed to everyone that didn't have a ticket. They just had access to the store from inside the stadium. So I ended up not getting any bats but I can't be disappointed because I saw such an incredible stadium!! I will definitely find time to make it back soon! I can't believe that my time like you said, with Elder Kirkham may be almost over. He has been here for 4 transfers so he thinks he will get transfered and I will get a new companion. So hopefully my next companion wants to go to the stadium so I can buy those bats! It was such an incredible experience just to be there! It is such a historical area and stadium! It was blast! I will upload the pictures as soon as I have WiFi! It was a great experience!

Well everyone! It has been so much fun to email you today! I loved your email so much and all of the pictures you sent! I loved getting your emails throughout the week as well! I miss you all tons! You are an amazing family and I miss you so much every day. I hope you all have an amazing week! You are so almost done with school! Have so much fun on your Birthday Dad! I will be thinking about you all day! LOVE AND MISS YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Love Always!
