This week has been an awesome week. We got to talk to Tanner!!!! He called us from the Airport at about 5:30 in the morning. I had a very restless night because I kept waking up thinking I wonder what he is doing right now. I wonder where he is and when he is going to call. It was very nice to hear his voice and get answers to questions right then. He was so happy and very excited. I was a little nervous about him checking his bags and having them be too heavy, but all worked out just fine. He was able to check both bags which was a good thing so he didn't have to worry about too much on the plane. He said that he might be able to call from Detroit but couldn't find a pay phone anywhere. He did send this quick email.
Hello everyone! I made it to Detroit! I am so glad we could call this morning....even though it was so early! Thanks for the support and getting up early! I am so sorry but I can't find a payphone anywhere! We have looked all over the place and can't find do one! They must be obsolete! I feel so bad because I really wanted to chat some more! Our flight takes off at 2:15 so I will be in the big city at about 2:00 your time! It is going to be so cool! Wow! Flying is so amazing! I loved the views and looking out the window for landmarks! I didn't see Ford Field but I was looking for it! It felt like a roller coaster! This poor little baby on the plane did NOT want to be there! He was screaming when we took off! This airport is pretty cool! I have some more pictures on my camera but these are the ones I took with my tablet! Pretty cool! It is amazing how far you can travel in a plane in such a short time! I hope you are all having a great day! You mean the world to me! I have been thinking about and missing you all! I'm not sure the next time I will be able to email but I hope soon! I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!

Hello my awesome family! Hope you are all doing great! I just got connected to WiFi so my message that I tried to send yesterday in the Detroit airport just went through. I couldn't find a payphone anywhere, I wanted to talk to everyone again!

Thank you SO much for sending my coat and boots! I cannot believe you fit all of that in there! It was fun to get here and already have a package! I appreciate it all very much! I loved all the treats in there! Thank you!
Wow, what a great trip! New York is amazing! I still can't believe I am actually here! I made it safe and sound to the big city! The flight was amazing, I loved every minute of it! While we were flying into White Plains I could barely see the city because it was so foggy! I couldn't see the Statue of Liberty but I will soon! President Smith and his wife are so nice and friendly! I'm so glad they did the Facebook live! I hope you got to see it!
I just found out where I will be serving and who my companion is! President Smith wanted us to email really quick and let you know the news! My companion's name is Elder Kirkham! And I will be serving in the Olmstead zone! It's in the East Bronx! How cool is that!
