November Already?

November 5th 2018~November Already!?!THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE FUN VIDEOS!!!! Happy November!!!! Em Came To Church!

Hello and good morning to the best Family ever! Thank you all so very much for the fun emails and pictures that you sent! I'm so happy and excited for you all and I'm so happy to hear you had another great week! I sure do appreciate you and the blessing that you are to me! I wouldn't trade the experience of being a missionary for anything and I have truly been so blessed! Thank you all so much for the details and love that you pack into your letters each week! Also, thank you so very much for the fun videos! I loved them both and Elder Solomon thought it was so nice of you to think of him! I'm really excited that I get to give to Dubbie for this year's Family Christmas gift exchange! It's so weird to think that I'll be a part of this Christmas! I'm so happy that you had another awesome and fun week! I sure do appreciate you and I'm so happy about all of the exciting things going on! We had a really awesome week and Em came to Church this week and loved it! I have so many exciting things to tell you and so here it goes!!!

Last Monday was a really awesome and fun P-Day! The weather was really nice and we enjoyed the day so much! We got organize and clean our apartment and then we ran our errands and got our laundry and shopping done for the week! We watched "The Restoration" video and had some snacks and then we also got to have dinner with the Bautista Family at Frank's Pizza which is always a lot of fun! They have a lot more than just pizza and so it's fun to try many different foods that they have! The Bautista Family have 2 kids and their oldest son reminds me of Brandon! They even look a lot alike! So after our P-Day ended, we drove to Frank's Pizza down the street and met them right after Brother Bautista got off of work and we all had a very great time! I got a really yummy prochuito wrap with fries and honey mustard sauce and it was so good! The prochuito wrap came with grilled red pepper and thick slices of mozzarella cheese. We talked about small ways to share the Gospel and they told us that they have been sharing the Gospel with a couple that live in their apartment building! It was a great evening and it was such a great day! It was really awesome to get to talk to you and it is always the highlight of my week to email you! I was so excited to get your email and I was really happy to hear that Dad had a great day! Love and miss you all so much!!!!!

Tuesday was really awesome as well! I got your fun card today! I was really excited to see your email and card and it was really fun to hear from you! We woke up this morning and we got our monthly money for November and I realized something crazy! Since this is my last full month, this is the last time that I get the full amount! Next month, I won't get as much money since I leave in the middle of the month and so it was a crazy thought to think that this is my last time getting paid on my mission! We had a really great day and it went by so very fast! I was really excited because when we came back to the apartment for lunch, I got your fun Halloween letter in the mail! Thank you so very much for sending it to me and I loved the card you picked out! I always love to get mail from you so much and It was a really fun surprise! I checked the date on it and it said that you sent it 3 days ago! Wow! The skies were so nice and blue today and it was so nice to be out and about! We had a very great lesson with a less active member that the first councilor in the Bishopric asked us to go and teach and it went really well! His name is Fabricio Briones and he is from Equador and works as a home health assistant and has 3 kids. He was recently divorced and so he has been struggling financially and so he hasn't come to Church in a long time. He even invited us over to try out a Equadorian restaurant right by his house this Friday and so we are really excited about that! We had quite a few people ask us to come back while we were tracing and so we were stoked about that! I hope that you had a really great day and k hope you have an amazing Halloween! I hope you get to eat a pumpkin shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's! Happy Halloween!!!! Love & miss you all so very much!!!!!!

Happy Halloween my dear and amazing Family!!!! I hope you had a "spooktacular" day and ate lots of yummy treats! I woke up and was really happy to see your email! Thanks a bunch for thinking of me and wishing me a Happy Halloween! We had a really awesome and fun day and we got to drive to Morristown for the new missionary follow up meeting and it was so great! I saw that you liked the post on the Mission Facebook page and so I was glad that you saw it! I checked your weather as soon as I woke up and it said it was 22 degrees! Brrrrrrr! Our new missionary meeting was awesome and we all split up into 2 groups and had a question and answer with the assistants about some of the challenges and what we have seen work with training! They showed skme cool videos and had some cool training from Sister Jensen who works as the Mission nurse. She talked to us about our health guide books and how they have lots of healthy tips and one interesting thing that I didn't know was that Lyme disease is really prevalent over here in New Jersey. It was such a great meeting and I always love to hear from President and Sister Hess! We got to see lots of people dressed up and I had fun reading your card thst you send and I set your wallpaper as my background for my tablet! I was wishing you all a fun day! I have some very exciting news! So we are teaching Em and she is the lady from Hungary. Elder Solomon's Sister served there and just got home and President Hess gave us permission to Skype Elder Solomon's Sister into our lessons with her so they can connect and speak Hungarian! Isn't that so cool! So next week, we will be able to set up a time with Elder Solomon's Sister to teach with us! It is really cool that President Hess gave us permission to do that because it will help a ton! After we did our studies, we went to do some Halloween tracting before our dinner appointment with the Stevenson Family at their home! They also wanted to have Elder Solomon make his pen on the lathe and so we were looking forward to that! I was so thankful for your emails and it was a lot of fun to see the kids all dressed up! I laughed and laughed at Parker's costume and Elder Solomon laughed his head off too! I think back to all of those times where the refs obviously missed a call and so it was really funny to see Puck dressed as a blind ref! Hehe! I loved everyone's costumes! We had a really great time at the Stevenson's house and Elder Solomon made a really cool pen! We also had a yummy and "spooky dinner!" Sister Stevenson took our picture and posted it on Facebook and so I'm excited for you to see it! We had stuffed peppers with a salad with an avocado dressing and pumpkin pie and whole milk for dessert! We got to do some tracting before our appointment and almost everyone thought that we were trick or treaters dressed up and so we had a good laugh about that! At every door, we told them that we weren't trick or treating and that we were talking to people about Jesus Christ. We could have made it out of that neighborhood with 10 pounds of candy if we wanted because people were willing to give it out! Hehe! So in a way, you can say that I went "Trick or tracting" tonight! Hehe! We had a fun Halloween and really enjoyed the meeting! I hope you got tons of candy to munch on and you all had a fun day! Thanks again for the fun emails!!! Happy Halloween dear Family! LOVE YOU TONS!!!!!
Thursday was another really awesome day! I loved seeing all of you Halloween costumes! First off, Happy November everyone! I have no idea how that happened but it is officially November already! I woke up this morning and thought, "Hey! Wait a minute! I come home NEXT month!!!!!" It was a really fun thought to think that I will be home next month! Only 22 days left until Thanksgiving! We had a really great and awesome day and I hope you did too! We got to go to Dairy Swirl and I used the money that you have me and I got a really yummy sundae with 2 kinds of ice cream! Today we had an appointment with Em but she asked us to come over tomorrow and so we are really excited for that and we are SO anxious to finally be able to sit down and teach her! Since we didn't have our lesson with her, we got to do a lot of tracting and we followed up with lots of the people that we have found these last few weeks. We got to talk to Brian Walsh and he is the guy that we met a few weeks ago. We had a great conversation with him but our beliefs just don't match up to what he has come to accept. He was really surprised how much we have in common and how we believe in being good people and following Jesus Christ! He thanked us for our message but he told us that he doesn't want to learn anymore. We did have a really cool experience with the very last door of the day that we knocked on! A man told us to come back on Saturday and seemed really interested and so we are looking forward to that! After a few hours of tracting, we got to have dinner with the Kochevar Family! I'm really sorry because I keep forgetting to get pictures with everyone. Oops! They made a meal that was really familiar to what you make! Hehe! Sweet Pork Salads! Since they are from Utah and really miss their Cafe Rio, they love to make them from scratch and so we had a fun time together! Brother Kochevar is enjoying his new job but they told us that they were a little homesick for Utah. Their son comes home from Argentina this upcoming June and so it was fun to be in the home of someone who has a missionary out! Sister Kochevar made us some yummy cake mix cookies just like you make and so it made me think of you! I teared up a little because they were asking me if I was ready to see you and they couldn't believe how little time I have left. I told them that I am ready to give you all a hug and see you after all these months! I showed them a picture of you and it just made me realize how quickly we will be together again! This has definitely been the "Best 2 Years" and I will be forever grateful for this experience! It has been a special, sacred, and unforgettable time in my life and I continue to grow and progress every day! I have been able to grow the testimony that you helped me gain through these years of seminary and Church service and activities! It was a really fun time to be in their home and they said that they want to have us back over right before I go home! I do have to admit, it is a little weird to have people talk about ME going home! I've had 2 companions that were close to going home and I just remember thinking how weird it was going to be when members started saying "Wow! You are close to going home!" It is just so surreal to me and it doesn't seem real! Hehe! We will all be together again shortly and I can't wait to just sit and talk to you in person! After that, we got to share a few scriptures out of the Book of Mormon while we were tracting and then we stopped at Dairy Swirl to have a "Happy November, and Happy early Birthday" for Elder Solomon! I got cake batter and Graham central station! It was a tasty treat and I thought of you while I ate it! Thanks so much for the yummy treat! LOVE & MISS YOU SO MUCH MY DEAR FAMILY!!!!!!!!

Friday was awesome!!! We had a really great day of missionary work and I'm excited to tell you about it! We heard that there was going to be a big rain storm coming in with lots of wind and 3 inches of water overnight. We got a lot of wind and so it blew most of the leaves off of the trees and so it left a big mess. We helped out at the food pantry and we always enjoy helping the people out! They always have different foods that coming from the Stop and Shop store depending on what is about to expire and so there is always a good variety. I hope that each of you had a really great and fun Friday! I bet you are excited for the weekend! The food pantry was really slow and we had hardly anyone come in. We were giving everyone a ton of extra food to take because we just didn't have as many people come in as we usually do. We had our appointment with Em scheduled but she texted us and told us that she had some Family members stop by unexpectedly and so she apologized and felt so bad that we couldn't meet. We committed her to come to Church and so we are praying that she will come in Sunday! We got to do some tracting and then we had dinner with Brother Biones before we drove to Lake Hopatcong to split with the Morristown Elders! I got to stay in Sparta with Elder Gibeult and so he spent the day here with me! He is from Washington State and has been out on his mission for almost 20 months. We had a really great dinner with Brother Briones and he sure is a cool guy! I got horchata with a burrito supreme and it had a really good barbeque flavored sauce on it! We also had chips and salsa and got to know him better! He is a nurse and his goal is to work in the emergency room. We ate at a really cool Mexican restaurant on main street in Newton and it sure was a fun time! Then we met up with the Morristown Elders and headed back for the day! It sure was an awesome day and I hope you all had a very great and fun day too! LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!

Saturday was another very awesome day! We were on a split the whole day and I was with Elder Gibeult and we had a really awesome time! We had a lot of people to visit and a lot of doors to knock on and we were ready to roll! I hope you all had a very amazing and fun Saturday and got to do lots of fun things! I have loved reading the Doctrine and Covenants and I'm up to Section 109! I'm really looking forward to reaching my goal and finish before I come home! I was thinking about Grandpa Evans a lot today and realized that it was November 3rd. I wore his tie in honor of him and remembered all of my memories that we have all made with Grandpa Evans. He is truly missed every day and we are all so blessed to have known him! Love you Grandpa Evans!!! We had a really awesome day and found a really awesome girl and her Mom from Scotland! I really enjoyed working with Elder Gibeult and we had a fun time talking about our memories from the New York Mission! We got to visit with the Marvin Family and they are coming to Church tomorrow! He speaks Spanish and so he connected with them really well! I am really looking forward to daylight savings and I love falling back! We don't have any early morning meetings and so it will be nice to have that extra hour! We met a really awesome Baptist Family and they are really cool! We scheduled a time to come back and meet with them and so we are really excited for that! We talked to a lady named Antoinette and she seemed really nice and told us to come back next Saturday! We got to teach a lot of the Restoration to a lot of people and we met this really cool guy, who is my age, and he said that he was going through a hard time with his school work for college and grew up Catholic. We were able to get his name and phone number and we are going to send him texts! We met up with the other Elders at the McDonald's and headed back after a busy day! I was thinking about you a lot and I'm really excited to hear from you! I hope all is well and you had a very fun Saturday! You were on my mind a lot and I was sending my love and well wishes your way! I care about each of you so much and you mean the world to me! Tomorrow is Elder Solomon's Birthday! I bought him his favorite ice cream today and so we are going to have a fun celebration tomorrow! Happy Sabbath my dear Family! LOVE & MISS YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!

Happy Birthday Elder Solomon!!! I LOVED your videos so much!!!! I thought the draft idea was so clever and I am so excited to give to Dubbie!!! I was so excited to hear from you and I couldn't wait to read your email! I have something funny to tell you! We have already been seeing Christmas decorations too! They already have a countdown until Christmas and it was down to 48 days! I'm excited to look around and find something for Dubbie before I come home! They had lots of cool Christmas decorations and it was fun to see them out already! Thank you all so very much for the amazing and fun emails and pictures that you sent! I have really been excited all week to hear how you have been doing! We were so excited because we had a lot of people commit to coming to Church and we even had a companionship of Sisters call us and say that they talked to someone on Facebook that lives in our area and they told us that he was coming to Church! It was such an amazing day at Church and I have some extremely exciting news! Em came to Church!!!! It was so incredible and we were so excited when we saw her walking up the isle to sit with us! She loved Church and said that she felt something different and we are so excited for her! I couldn't wait to tell you that she came and to hear from you! It seems like it has been forever since I've been able to talk to you and I have really been so excited all week to hear about your week! I hope you were having an amazing Sunday and I thought of you as you went to Church! Elder Solomon had an amazing Birthday and he thought it was so nice of you to wish him a Happy Birthday! We also had the guy that was found on Facebook come and he was so intrigued with the Church and had an amazing time! Fasting is so powerful and we were on cloud 9 that Em and Edward came! The Marvin Family were going to come but Cat said that Jose wasn't feeling well and he is 93 years old and so she had to stay home to watch them but we were stoked that Em and Edward came! It is always such a labor of love to get people to Church and teach them and I have been so blessed to have people to teach throughout my Mission! I really want to end my mission with a baptism and we are trying our best to make sure that happens! After Church, we were able to give Sister Morse the sacrament with Brother Thompson and it was so great to minister to her! She has been so bored and so seeing us really lifted her spirits! As we were driving back to the apartment, I thought about you and how much you mean to me! I am so grateful that I have been able to use my Priesthood to bless other people and serve the Lord for these last 21 months! I try to make you happy each day and you sure make me the happiest guy in the world to be your Son and Brother! It means everything to me to have a special relationship with each of you and I care about you so much! I have been able to look outside myself and focus on others a lot more and I realize just how much the Gospel blesses other people! I have really captured some sacred ground on my mission and I'm so excited to continue to progress and continue to build my testimony through faith building experiences! I sure have missed you a lot but your faith and prayers keep me working my hardest and helping others come into Christ! Love you to the moon and back my dear, amazing, wonderful Family!!!!!!!! I saw something crazy on my weather app today! It says that Nibley is supposed to get snow on Tuesday! That is so crazy! I'm really excited for this time of year and I love the Holiday season! I wish I could go with you to the Bells concert in Salt Lake but there is always next year! The best time of the year is rapidly approaching for sure and I'm so very excited!!!!! We had something cool happen! We were tracting and we just happened to knock on the door of a non member but his daughter is Sister Shrope from the ward! It was such a neat way to end the day and we got to eat some yummy butter pecan ice cream which is his favorite and he recorded a thank you video! I'm really excited for you to see it! Thanks a ton for the fun and awesome emails and pictures! You guys are the greatest! LOVE & MISS YOU SO MUCH MY DEAR FAMILY!!!!!!!
