20 Months Already!?!?
Last P-day was so very awesome! I had so much fun talking to you and I loved hearing from
you throughout the day! It rained the whole day but it was nice to get some things done around the apartment and I really love having a car so we stay dry as we work! We had a fun day and got to do the usual shopping and laundry and then I went to get haircut! It turned out really good and I was glad to have it nice and sharp for our mission conference! I had a lot of fun chatting with you and was so grateful that each of you had a great day! I love being able to talk back and forth and that we have Wi-Fi in our apartment which makes it even easier to stay connected! I'm so happy that you all had a great day and I'm sure you were busy too! I hope that you all had an amazing rest of your Day! Well.....it's official!!!! I now am in the double digits for how many days I have left on my mission! 99 Days to go!!! The rest of our day went really well and we got to do lots of finding and we worked really hard! We tracted a street called Como Trail and it was wooded neighborhood with really pretty trees! We met a guy who walked out and didn't want us to talk but then we realized that he wanted to compliment us. He told us how much he appreciated what we were doing but he wasn't at a point in his life to change his beliefs. We tried to see why he said that to see if we could relate any point of the Gospel to him but he was pretty closed off. It seemed like the whole neighborhood was really friendly and we talked to lots of cool people! It got dark at about 7:15 and so we didn't have much daylight and a lot of the houses were dark. We had a guy warn us of all the bears that were lurking in the woods! Hehe!
Tonight was really great and I was so happy because of the great day that we had! The highlight was being able to talk to you! Have a great evening and sleep tight....and don't let the bed bugs bite! LOVE YOU ALL TONS!!!!
🇺🇸September 11th 2001 Remembrance Day!🇺🇸 As I reflect back on my amazing time in Manhattan, my thoughts are always brought back to September 11th 2001 and what a dramatic day it was for everyone involved whether they watched it on tv or were there in person to witness this terrible event. My experience in Manhattan was amazing and I have gained a deeper understanding of the impact that the events of September 11th had on everyone. I am so thankful that I was able to go to the museum and see the actual artifacts from the day. I woke up this morning and was so very excited to see your email! Thanks a ton for sending it to me and I loved your story about Parker! That was so nice of him to say and I really loved your story about what he said!
Wednesday was so very awesome! Our split went really well and I really enjoyed working with Elder Sparks! He is from Queen Creek Arizona and is the oldest of his Family and so he gets to set the example for his younger siblings! We woke up to very stormy weather and we heard that the hurricane was getting pretty close to hitting land. It was very dark and was raining quite a bit but we stayed dry during the day! We had a busy day planned and had a dinner appointment with Sister Stevenson at the Church which is always a lot of fun and we really appreciate her doing that for us! She always has lots of food and she always let's us take the leftovers with us back to the apartment! The weather sure has been shaping up to be really crazy tomorrow! We could tell that a storm was brewing and everyone was talking about the hurricane. We mostly did tracting the whole day and we talked to some really amazing people! Elder Sparks is a great teacher and is really good at talking to people! It rained most of the day but the clouds and fog were settling in. We were thankful that we would be in the mission conference meeting while the storm was going on! I was thinking about you all a lot and wishing you a great Day! I was really excited because Sister Naylor said that she was buying our plane tickets and so I thought that was totally crazy! We met some cool people and focused on the Book of Mormon and how it can help bring peace to their lives. People were very open and receptive to what we had to say and we got 2 potential return appointments! This one guy opened the door, and walked right out to shake our hands. Usually people are very apprehensive when they open the door but he walked right out! Then we talked to him about his beliefs and then we shared the introduction to the Book of Mormon with him! We also met a guy while we were tracting who knew a member of the Church and he said that he respected what we were doing but just wasn't willing to learn more. Then we noticed that there was a former investigator named Michelle that was in our records and so we knocked on her door and as we were standing on their front porch, her husband drives up and greeted us with a friendly smile! He said that they have a Family of 6 and love having a big Family! It was fun to testify about eternal Families and how much the Gospel blesses us! Then we had an amazing dinner appointment with Sister Stevenson at the Church! She bought a huge Costco pizza and a yummy salad with pumpkin pie and whipped cream. She is so awesome and it always so thankful for her delicious meals because it's so much fun to look forward to meal appointments! I have loved being able to drive so much! We got to change back in the parking lot of Babies R Us in Flanders and we drove back to the apartment really excited for the mission conference with Elder Bennett! I'm so excited for it and I can't wait! Love and miss you all SO VERY MUCH!!!!!
P.S: "The Hurricane is coming, the Hurricane is coming!" We will stay safe tomorrow! Love ya!
Wow!!! Thursday was a really amazing day! First of all, I want you all to know how much I love you and appreciate you! You mean all the world to me and you are so awesome! I hope each of you had an amazing day! Second of all, the huge hurricane that we were supposed to see effects from didn't ever hit us and it was one of the nicest days of the week! We saw the sun for the first time in a few days and it didn't even rain today! So we are all good but we think it might hit us harder tomorrow. We woke up and we were really excited for the mission conference! I was so thankful to see your email and it always makes my day to hear from you! We woke up at our usual time and had a 45 minute drive to the Caldwell Chapel in Caldwell. It was really foggy but didn't rain for the first part of the day. We had some cooler temperatures and so it felt very nice! I was thinking about Brandon a lot and wishing him well against Mountain Crest! Go Brandon!!! I was also hoping that you got to go to the Aggie game and I was really excited for you! We had such an amazing mission conference and it was a lot of fun! Let me just say that Mission conference was absolutely AMAZING!! It was one of the coolest conferences I've ever been to and Elder Bennett did an amazing job! Elder Bennett was born in Canada and served a mission in France which is also where President Hess served! Elder Bennett is a member of the 1st Quroum of the Seventy and so he spends a lot of time with the First Presidency and also the Quorum of the Twelve! I wish you could have all been there because the spirit was so strong! I love being a missionary so much and I know this Church is true! Elder Bennett shared some amazing stories about when he and his wife were in Russia serving as mission President and wife. One part that stood out to me from the whole meeting was that our missions are gifts from Heavenly Father and he called us here for a reason. I've always enjoyed thinking about why I was called to serve in the New Jersey Morristown Mission after serving in the New York, New York North mission and I'm so very grateful that I've been able to experience both! Elder Bennett shared how if we are working hard and even though it gets discouraging, the best thing to do is push ourselves and that is when we see the coolest miracles! He shared Elder Bruce R Mckonkie's final conference talk about the Atonement of Jesus Christ and he shared how that 1 act changed everything and we can become "At One" with Heavenly Father! It was so cool and he shared tons of amazing stories about how missionaries found people in the craziest ways and how no effort in missionary work is wasted or goes unnoticed! Like I said earlier, I wish you could have all heard the whole conference because it was jam packed with amazing stories and insights! It was such a great conference and the storm didn't hit us at all and so it was a very amazing time! After we did some tracting for a few hours after the conference and ran into a few Atheists who didn't want anything to do with religion but we also met some very nice people! The highlight was being able to pass out a copy of the Book of Mormon with a lady that we read a scripture to! We testified and I started to tear up as I spoke and I can honestly say that it wasn't me thinking about what I was saying but I was able to promise her in the name of Jesus Christ that she can get closer to Heavenly Father by reading the Book of Mormon than any other book! Then we had dinner with the Lisondra-Ancog Family and they are a great couple! We had bacon wrapped shrimp again, rice, and a Phillipino dish called "Pansit". It was a very amazing day and I was beat and ready for a nice sleep! I hope all of you had a really great Day! I was thinking about Brandon as he played against Mountain Crest! LOVE YOU LOTS & LOTS!!!!
Friday was a very awesome day too! The days just keep getting better and better for me as a missionary! I am so thankful for each of you and your love and support! I hope you all had a very awesome day and I bet you were excited for the weekend! I love how much I have been able to read from the scriptures and study them! I have really enjoyed reading the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants! It has been such a blessing to serve a mission and it's so hard to believe that time is winding down so quickly! I know that this Church is true and we all find so much joy and happiness from living the Gospel and we are so blessed and lucky to enjoy the blessings of the Gospel! I've had so many amazing experiences as a missionary and I thank Heavenly Father for blessing me with the best Family ever and the joy that you are to me in my life! I love you so much! I know Joseph Smith is a true Prophet and that the keys of the Priesthood that Jesus Christ had are still on the Earth today by a living prophet! Thanks so much for all of your love and support! I'm so proud to be a part of the Lindberg and Evans Families!!!! We woke up and the weather was a little cloudy but we still didn't get a big rain storm and effects from the Hurricane like we thought we would. It must have skipped over us! Hehe! It seemed like we had just done service at the food pantry and it is time to do it again! I always feel good about helping others and I love the feeling of turning outward and blessing those people that don't have very much. It wasn't too busy and not very many people took too much food and so it was a slower day. We got back to the apartment to have some lunch and study and I was SO VERY excited to see your email and was thrilled that Brandon and the Aggies won their games! I was so happy and excited for Brandon and so proud of his hard work! I was also so excited that the Aggies scored so much! That is a ton of points! You totally made my whole day and I really appreciated your email so much! Thank you!!! After our studies and lunch, we started to see some effects from the Hurricane and we could tell it was going to be quite a storm. We heard from some of the people at the food pantry and they said that the hurricane had just hit North Carolina land on Friday morning and we were supposed to get some of the arms of the hurricane is what they told us. It got a little stormy once we got back to the apartment for the night but it never really was too bad of a storm. We got to go tracting from 4:00-9:00 and it went so well! We had a few people ask us to come back tomorrow and so we are excited about that! It was exciting because we found a street in Vernon and everyone was so nice! I've never seen so many houses in a row where everyone was so welcoming! We met a guy in his mid 20s named Christian and he was really interested in the Book of Mormon and wanted to learn more! He asked us to not change his beliefs because he is Catholic. It was funny because he said "Guys, I don't want you to change my beliefs but I want to learn more." It was exciting because he was so open and willing! It was pretty late when we met him and so he asked us to come over next weekend when he is home! It was a very exciting way to end the day! We also got to go tracting in a trailer park and they were all so close together and we got through tons of them in a few hours! It's always amazing to me to see how people live. There are so many different lifestyles and a lot of them have either heard of the Book of Mormon or have had missionaries come over! What a great day it was! I truly know that this Church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ blesses our lives so much! I'm so proud of each one of you and the joy and blessing that you are to me! I try to honor you in everything I do and I'm so grateful to be doing the Lord's work! You are my greatest blessing and "When I count my blessings, I count you twice!!!!" Love and miss you all so much my dear Family!!!!!!!

Saturday was so very awesome! 3 weeks until General Conference!!!! I hope that you had an amazing day off of work and school! We woke up to sunshine and bright skies and so we were even more excited to do the Lord's work! I was thinking about you and sending lots of love and thoughts your way! Our day went so well today and I love being out and about working hard!
It is such a neat experience to serve a mission and teach the Gospel to every person that we see! I wouldn't trade this experience for anything and I'm so glad that I came! I want you to know that I'm always here for you and I always appreciate you and your sacrifices! We had a few people ask us to come over from when we were tracting from the day before and so we were excited to teach then! I am doing really well with my reading and I am still reading a ton of the Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants! I'm also half way through with Jesus The Christ and it is a really interesting book! I just love to study and I learn something new every day! I read a talk by President Eyring and it was so good! It was from the Priesthood session a few years ago and he talked about some of his heroes. I got thinking and asked myself "Who are my heroes?" So I made a list of my heroes. Mom, Dad, Abby, Brandon, and Parker, you are all my heroes and I look up to you all so much! I also have many other heroes like Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, & Cousins! Mom and Dad, you are my greatest role models and have taught me so much in my life! You are the greatest parents ever and you have made the strongest impact on me and will continue to bless my life every day! I'm getting so excited to see you all and I'm so excited to continue to make memories with you when I come home! I just want to take the time to express my gratitude for you and helping me become the person and missionary that I am today! I can't put into words how much you have impacted me and how grateful I am for you and the many memories we have made! I work so hard every day because I know that the time I get to serve is so short. These last 20 months have gone by so fast but I'm so glad that I've been able to make so many memories on my mission! Elder Caccioppoli has been doing great and he is really working hard to finish strong. He only has about 18 days left and he wants to find that 1 golden investigator to finish his mission! You all mean everything to me and I can't say it enough:........I love you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!! After we did our studies, we headed out for a day of awesome work! We spent the whole morning and afternoon up until dinner tracting and the highlight was talking to a guy that pulled up to his driveway in a truck with his Family and we were able to have a 30 minute conversation and lesson with him in his driveway! He had some deep questions about the Plan of Salvation and asked us if we believed in ghosts. Hehe!
We told him that the Church doesn't have an official stance and so we talked to him about the Plan of Salvation and what happens after we pass away. We gave him a Restoration Pamphlet and he said that he would study it tonight and call us in a few days when he does his research! We have felt like we have been so blessed to have so many nice people to talk to. We have the Faith to find some really prepared people that are ready for the Gospel! We have been working diligently to find them these last 12 weeks that we have been companions! We just realized that I'm in the position for how much time I have left that Elder Caccioppoli and I had when we were out together as companions! That is so crazy! After dinner, we headed back out to Highland Lake to do some tracting and we got to talk with Carrie! She has a lot of potential and she had a strong Christian background that she is teaching her kids as well! It was an awesome way to end the day! Have such a great night and know that I love you all TONS & TONS!!!!! We are very excited for Stake Conference tomorrow in Morristown!! Love you!!!

Sunday was so very amazing! Thank you a bunch for the amazing email! I'm so excited to talk to you tomorrow! You sure had a fun week and I was so excited to hear about all of the Football action! It was Stake Conference and we were both so excited for It! It is so fun to listen to a member of the Seventy! I was looking at some Conference talks and Elder Bennett spoke in General Conference a few years ago! When I woke up, it hit me that it was already the 16th of September! That is so crazy! I'm enjoying every second of my mission because I know how fast these last few weeks will go. Elder Howard told me that after we ate at the restaurant for his 99 Days left dinner, it went by even faster. This is my first time being with a companion that is going home. I love all of the pretty trees up here and we have had so many leaves fall! This is the best time of year!!!! The weather was so very nice today and we had a little bit of dew on the car when we drove to Morristown. I was really, REALLY excited to get your email and I couldn't wait to hear from you! I'm so happy that your Sabbath day was so awesome and you all enjoyed Church! We had an amazing Stake Conference and there were some really awesome talks! They had 4 recent converts from the Stake bear their testimonies and then they had the whole Stake Presidency speak and a councilor in the Manhattan Temple Presidency speak and then Elder and Sister Bennett. They talked about change and how the Gospel of Jesus Christ helps us change each day. The chapel was packed and they had members fill in all the way to the back! It was a great conference and the Stake Presidency is really awesome! At the end, we got to talk to the mission vehicle coordinator and he told us some exciting news! He said that he wants to give us a different car since ours has New York licence plates and so on Tuesday, we get a different car! Im excited to see which one we get! I have really liked the red Corrolla but it will be fun to drive something different! There were quite a few Utah licence plates in the parking lot from the Senior couples and it was fun to see! Then Brother and Sister Kochevar invited us over for Lunch! So after the conference, we drove to their house and the drive was so pretty! The skies have been so blue today with puffy clouds and has been in the 80s so it felt so nice! The Kochevar Family just moved here from Riverton Utah and so they are still trying to adjust to the East Coast. They have lived in Utah their whole lives and so they are having some culture shock. Brother Kochoevar served in Brazil and they have a son coming home in June from Argentina! We had fun talking about Utah and how much it has changed. It made me miss you even more!
We had some yummy mashed potatoes and gravy with a lot roast and crosaints! They have a daughter going to college in Utah and so they only have 2 sons living with them. Joshua reminds me a lot of Parker and Jacob is a Junior in High school. We shared a few scriptures from 2 Nephi 26 and we all had a testimony meeting of Family and how important Family relationships are. I always love getting a touch of home to my mission and going into homes with the spirit because it always makes me think of you! I talk about you all a lot and how much you mean to me! It is always so fun to go into other people's homes and feel that same spirit and happiness that we get to enjoy in our own homes! The rest of the day went so well and we got to go tracted and finding for the rest of the day. I'll be honest, we are having a tough time finding people to listen to our message but the most important thing is that we are trying our best and never giving up! We always have the Faith to find those that are ready!
We got to knock on lots of doors and visit a less active member named Brianna Murphy. We invited her to General Conference coming up and so we hope she comes! We got back to the apartment and as you can guess.....I was SO EXCITED to read your email! I just couldn't wait to read it and see your pictures! Thank you so very much for all of your fun pictures and emails!!! I'm so happy for each one of you and I'm so glad your week was a fun success! Love you SO MUCH!!!!
P.S: As we were driving back to the apartment, we saw about 20 Mustang cars of different years drive passed us! It was so amazing to see so many classic Mustangs all at once! Also, so sorry for the lack of pictures! I haven't had very many things to take pictures of. I will try to take more this week! It's so crazy to think that I'm almost to 20 months!!! I hope I don't get too trunky but I still have lots of work to do! Hehe! I'm so excited to give you a hug and kiss!!!! Love ya!!
Well my dear Family, thanks again for the awesome and fun email and pictures! I really appreciate the fun details that you always include and I appreciate them very much! You are all so important to me and I cherish each one of you! I'm so thankful for all of your continued love and support as I serve my mission! As we were with the Kochevar Family yesterday, they told us how hard it is to have a member of the Family away and so I'm so grateful for you and all that you do for me! I know that this is where I'm supposed to be and we can have a very awesome and fun reunion in just a few months! I've had so many experiences that will bless my live for years to come and I can't wait to catch up when I come home! The time is coming up so fast and I will be on that airplane before we all know It! I'm enjoying serving here with Elder Caccioppoli so much and we are loving the missionary life! I hope this mext week is just as awesome as this last one and I'm so excited to hear how all of your activites go! I love each of you with all my heart and can't wait to see you in 3 months! It amazes me at how much everyone has changed while I have been away. You have all grown so much but at the same time, I feel like I just left. Doesn't it seem like yesterday that we were sitting in President Farnsworth's office getting set apart. I feel like it was yesterday that we were eating at Applebees together! I'm doing so great here and I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true and living Church on Earth today! The Gospel has blessed our lives in countless ways! I will continue to work my very hardest and never slow down! I'm excited to get my plane itinerary soon and find out what time I will be flying in! Have an awesome and fun week!!! LOVE & MISS YOU ALL SO, SO, SO VERY MUCH!!!!!!!

Love You Always!
