Hello my dear and amazing loved ones! Thank you all so much for your fun and awesome emails and pictures! I'm so glad that you had another great week! I had such a great week this week and I'm very excited to tell you all about it! Today for P-day, since it might be my very last P-Day in the big city, we are going to do tons and tons of fun stuff! We are mostly going to walk around and just explore the area. We are going to go up by the Empire State Building and walk around there and also 5th Avenue which is always really cool! Then we will go to Madison Square Garden and also down by the World Trade Center and the Financial District and so much more! We just want to take lots of pictures and sightseeing so it should be a really fun day! I will be sure to upload my pictures to my drive for everyone to see! It's kind of sad that I might not see New York City for a while if I get transferred to the other mission but we will see! Well, here goes my fun week:
Last P-Day was very fun, and very snowy!! We got over 8 inches of snow and it was very slushy. We stayed inside most of the day because the busses and trains were all on an off schedule but we did make the fun trek to the World Trade Center and had a great time looking around the really fancy Brookfield Place! We even ran I to our Stake President and took lots of pictures of the snow covered New York City! I think that I mentioned everything last week. It was a really fun and relaxing day! We always love talking about our dear Families back at home and I always update Elder Williams on how the boys' basketball games are going and he couldn't believe how much they were beating the other teams! I mean 67-14 is so unbelievable! After our fun P-Day ended, we went to go visit one of our former investigators, Antoine. He told us that he found his religion because Muslim is the one that could give him the most money and food and so that is the one he went with. His wife told us that Antoine was in the hospital and so we scheduled a time to come and visit him. We got to the hospital and We realized that he was in the psychiatric hospital and was going through some depression. He told us that he was a little upset that Sylvia sent us over but we still were able to be there for him in a tough trial. Then we went to go see Robert and boy was he doing well! All of your prayers got him right back on track because ever since his injury, he has been scared to drink alcohol because he is afraid of getting hurt again. He still isn't sure how his I jury happened but he is just so happy that he found a way to stop drinking! We pushed really hard to get him to the Addiction Recovery Class that was hapoening the next day and he didn't commit to coming but he did tell us to call him the next day at 5:00. It was a very great and productive lesson! He thanked us for coming and not giving up on him and he personally asked me to tell you Thanks! He wants me to thank you for allowing me to serve a mission! He said "You need to thank your families because if they wouldn't have let you come out here, then I know that I would be miserable and not happy in this exact moment in my living room tonight!" It was powerful! So thank you!!! Then I got home and was so excited to see your email!! It made my whole night even better! It was a really great day and we went to sleep with the snow still coming down hard but we were nice and warm because our superintendent cranked the heat all the way up and even though it was freezing cold, we stayed nice and toasty! Love you all tons!
Thursday was so awesome! I realized that I had less than 2 weeks before my potential transfer day. My time here has been so amazing and I've done SOOOO much!!! We woke up and most of the snow had melted and there were huge puddles of water. After our personal study, we went to the Church to do our weekly planning session. I have always loved weekly planning because we get to plan out our whole week and focus on our investigators! They can get a little ling but we like to take 5 minute breaks and talk with each other. I have learned more about Elder Williams than I have from any other companion. His Dad is a police officer and served in Brazil. He has a tiny dog named Captain and Elder Williams loves to tease him. He loves basketball and football and loves hearing about how Brandon and Parker are doing. He wishes that he could have some younger brothers because he is the youngest in his family and thinks it would be really cool to have younger siblings! During our weekly planning, we got a text from the Assistnats and they scheduled a split for the next day! Elder Davis said that he wanted to come to our area with me! We were really excited to split with them! After our weekly planning, we did our companionship study and planned out our day for the split. We got lots of appointments that we were really excited about! After our studies, we went to go pick up our mail and then had dinner. Talking to people on the street is really fun because we get to hear lots of cool stories and talk to them about their religious background. It just amazes me at how much diversity there is! After delivering mail at the Church, we unlocked the Church for our roommates because they needed a board for an activity that the YSA Ward was doing and then we went out for more work! I had been on many splits with Elder David when I was in Olmstead and so I was looking forward to working with Elder Davis again the next day! The split came to us as a bit of a surprise because there was a miscommunication and the Assitnats through that they had asked us to go on a split at Zone Conference but they ended up forgetting to ask us. So we were excited to split with the AP's and having a great day! We finished our day strong and I was thinking about you a lot and hoping you were having an awesome and fun day! We went to do a few lookups before our dinner appointment and we first knocked on Steven Rosa's door. He was home and we had a great conversation with him and just as we were going to get a Book of Mormon for him, his Mom came to the door and slammed it on us and told Steven not to talk to us. It was interesting because Steven is in his 30s and lives with his Mom. We kept our heads held high and went to do a few more lookups and then we had a great dinner with Brother and Sister Toomey! We had coconut chicken, salad, and ice cream and then we showed the trainer for this next General Conference! We invited them to write down 1 question that they wanted answered and then headed back to the apartment, excited for our split with the Assistants the next morning!
Friday was a really great and busy day! We were so excited to get going and I was excited to have an AP with me for the day! We had a very busy morning and headed right up to the Manhattan Temple Chapel to meet the Assistants and split. Elder Williams went with Elder Nadolny who just got called to be the new assistant and Elder Davis and I came back to our area. It was really great to go on another split with him since we had already been on a few before but I've never been on a split with an Assistant to President Smith. First, we stopped to grab some lunch and then we did our studies at the Church. We had a very busy day planned with 3 lessons and lots of lookups! We knocked on Edwin's door and we found 2 new investigators that were walking up the stairs named Josh and then we found another guy named Morgan who was very busy but we will hopefully be able to meet with him again! We got Josh's phone number and he already has a strong Christian background and has lots of questions! He is going to Puerto Rico for a couple of week to help clean up from the Hurricane and he is so interested in learning more! We walked all over the place and got quite a few phone numbers and even ran I to 2 sets of member couples! We met a really nice couple from Idaho and then 2 friends that were visiting New York! It was really fun to say a prayer with them and hear all about their trips! Then we taught Brother Forbes and helped him focus on getting to the Temple and we also taught Troy, his home health aid, and even committed him to read and pray about the Book of Mormon! He has lots of potential but it has been hard to meet with Troy because he works a ton. We talked to lots of cool people and Elder Davis really knows how to help someone feel the spirit on the streets. He is an amazing missionary and I wish I could be like him because he is so awesome! Then we went back to the apartment and had dinner and then went to visit Robert and we had one of the best lessons ever with him! We committed him to come to Church and we read a few scriptures that really hit him and he felt the power of the scriptures and says that he will read and prayer about the Book of Mormon every day! It was so cool and we felt the spirit very strong! Then we had Brother Mishler come with us to visit Charles McClain and we found out that the reason why he doesn't come to Church, is because he has some swelling and can't fit into his Church shoes and so he was embarrassed to wear anything else. We also committed him and Monae to come to Church. Then we talked a lot about repentance and the Book of Mormon and also some of the feelings that he had at Monae's baptism. It was an amazing day and it was a ton of fun to have an Assistant with us! We went to bed so excited to keep the great work going!! I hope you all had an amazing and fun day!
●Saturday and Sunday both got erased due to a problem with my tablet's sync function. So very sorry!!

●Saturday and Sunday both got erased due to a problem with my tablet's sync function. So very sorry!!
Saturday and Sunday both got deleted because or Gmail apps have been having lots of problems. So sorry! I typed them all up and was so excited for you to read about my day and then 2 days later, they disappeared. I feel bad because I typed a ton of details and so I will try to remember the best I can. On Saturday, we unsplit with the Assistants to President Smith and we had a really great time! Then on Sunday, we had so many visitors in Church and had a really great time! Charles and Robert weren't able to come but we still had so much fun getting to know all of the members! I was so excited to see your emails and hear all about March Madness and how everything was going! I realized that it could have been my last Sunday in this great ward and so I got a picture with Brother Nibley and it was really cool to know that he is the Great Great Grandson of Charles Nibley who founded Nibley! Then we had the Linger Longer Ward Activity and had so much good food and then Brother Ward showed us how to hook up the General Conference broadcast since it is our responsibility to have it up and running which is going to be so fun! I'm typing these last 2 days just off the top of my head. So much more happened but I'm really sad that they got deleted because I typed lots of fun details and so I'm sad that you can read them! Just know that I am so excited for Easter, General Conference, and transfers. I typed a lot about transfers but it got erased and so I tried to remember everything that I wanted to say. I'm so anxious about transfers because I really could be finding out which mission I'm in come July. Transfer calls are this Satuday at 10:30 and so I will be sure to update my drafts so you can find out the big news! I think that is the majority of what happened on Saturday and Sunday but I do feel really bad that Gmail had to be not working and delete part of my weekly report. I love and miss you all so very much!!!!
Monday was another really great day! I woke up to your fun email and was so excited to get it! I was really excited to see who made it to the Final Four and couldn't beleive that I saw Loyola Chicago in the Final Four! That is just crazy!!! I was so glad to see the bracket and how everyone was doing! The bracket looked like total madness this year with crazy upsets! Thanks so much for thinking of me and sending me a fun email! After our studies, we went up to the Temple for our district meeting and had a great time. It was Elder Staker's last district meeting before he goes home and so he was pretty excited about that! We talked to some really nice people who were visiting from Kentucky and the Mom was a high school drama teacher just like Becky and she has lots of Mormon students but they aren't members. They were very friendly and we talked the whole ride up to the Temple! We had a really great District Meeting and then Elder Williams and I did our very last thing on our 12 Week program that Elder Williams had to do before he completed his training! We watched our last District video and he was officially done with the 12 Week program!! After our district meeting, we helped Brother Vogelmann move a big piece of sheetrock that he was going to use as a floorboard and we got to see the huge boiler room that has all of the air conditioning ducts and we even got to see the giant water heater for the baptismal font and also the Apartments that the Temple President lives in which was really cool! Brother Vogelmann works as the Assistant maintenance worker for the Temple and so he got to show us around and it was so interesting! Then we grabbed some lunch and watched the Final episode of the District and it was really good! I was so excited to see Dad's email about the Utes being in New York! We planned to do some lookups and street contacting since we wanted to see lots of fans and talk to as many people as we could! I was really excited to have so many Utahns here in New York City!!! I was really excited to see the area so packed with tons of basketball fans! We finished Elder Williams' training and then went to go teach Brother Eades and Brother Forbes. I was looking all over the place for as much Ute gear as I could see since we are so close to the Arena! It was exciting to be able to look for as many Ute fans as I could! Brother Forbes was able to get his Temple recommend and so that was really exciting news and it was fun to know that we were a part of his progress! Then Fabhaa texted us and canceled our appointment near Madison Square Garden and so we came back to the apartment for dinner and then went to do a few lookups before our appointment with Robert. The weather was absolutely perfect and there was seriously not a single cloud in the sky and it was upper 40s the whole day which is my favorite temperature. After dinner, we had an amazing lesson with Robert! He told us something that he personally told me to tell you! He said to thank each of you for living the Gospel so he could hear the good message of the Gospel and so he can have this peace in his life! He then bore his testimony about the Book of Mormon to us and he said that he knows it's true! It was so cool! Today was a really awesome day and I was so excited to get your email the very next day!
Tuesday was a really awesome day! I have some very exciting news that I know Parker especially will love!! I was really excited all day long to get your fun email and pictures! We had lots of great events planned and I was really excited to try and spot as many Utes fans as I could and I really wanted to get a picture with me and some Ute fans for Parker to see! We woke up and played a quick game of basketball outside on some basketball courts near our apartment. It was a beautiful day and the sun was shining! Then we got ready and then we headed out for some exciting work! I hope you were all having a great day and having lots of fun! I still feel really bad that my 2 days got deleted from my drafts but I think that I covered everything that happened on Saturday and Sunday. I hope it doesn't do it again because that would be bad! Everyone has been having problems with the app but they are working on fixing it soon. I loved getting all of your emails and hearing about the tournament and how everyone was doing! We had a great time up doing work around Madison Square Garden and you won't believe what we saw!!!!! We were talking to a Ute fan and he flew in the night before and he was decked out in Utes gear. I know that Parker will love this next thing that happened. The guy we were talking to was asking us about our missions and he thought it was cool that we were both from Utah and lived so close to each other. Then he mentioned that his nephew plays on the Utes basketball team and then guess what we saw!?!?! We saw a huge team bus pull up to the unloading dock of the Madison Square Garden back entrance and Elder Williams and I both said to each other, "wouldn't that be so awesome if it was the Utes team bus!!" Sure enough, the bus pulled in and the whole Utes basketball team came walking off along with all of the coaching staff. His nephew walked off the bus decked out in Utes gear and he told his Uncle to come with him. Honestly, the timing could not have been more perfect because we were just walking around to our next appointment and we seriously walked past the Arena right as the team bus for Utah pulled in. I don't think that we could have planned it because we were in a hurry to get to our next appointment! We chose to work in that area because we knew that a lot of people would be out and about so we decided to go where all of the people were but the timing was so perfect! We did lots of street contacting but most people were from out of town but it was a very cool atmosphere! I was so excited for you to see my videos and pictures! Then we got to see them all line up and go into the Arena and it was so cool! We saw lots of Western Kentucky fans and a few Penn State fans but we didn't see any Mississippi State fans. It was so cool to see all of the Ute players and I was thinking about Puck the whole time!!!! I realized that it isn't very far for Penn State to travel and I thought it was cool that Penn State was playing at Pennsylvania Station! It was a really cool time and we got to talk to tons and tons people! I couldn't believe the timing that we were able to be there at the exact moment that the Utes were heading into the stadium! We had an appointment with Fabhaa near Madison Square Garden and so we went to meet him and we had a great lesson! He always has lots of great questions and wants to learn and so we enjoy answering all of his questions about the Plan of Salvation! Then we did our studies and then we did a really cool activity in Washington Square Park! Our whole district organized an APF to do since Easter is coming up on Sunday! I have some more really exciting news about what happened while we did this activity. We had 2 sets of sisters and then Elder Williams and I and we wrote down a big question on the sidewalk in Washington Square Park and it said "What makes you happy?" I of course had to put that my family makes me happy because you all back at home mean everything to me!!! We had tons and tons of people come up and write stuff down and there were tons of people from all over the world! I saw a guy and his family walking by and he had on a Utah Utes jacket and Utes pants and I quickly went over to go talk to them. They live in Salt Lake and are her for the game, but guess what!?!?! I got talking to him and he said that he was going to the game and then he told me something really cool! He is actually the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Utes basketball team and so I got a picture with him! He was really nice and was excited to be on the sidelines at the game! We had so many great people that we talked to and we gave out a few Books of Mormon and had a great time seeing what everyone wrote down but I knew that Puck would especially like that I saw one of their coach's! Then we went to our dinner appointment with the Myres family and had an awesome time! They live down by the World Trade Center and so they have very cool views! I was very excited for your email and hoping that you were all having an awesome day! I keep you in my every prayer and make sure to say prayers throughout the day for your safety and I think about you all the time! Then we went to our dinner appointment with Brother and Sister Myers and the Welch family came over as well! Brother Welch was wearing his Utah State shirt and so it really made me feel at home! He and his wife both went to Utah State and so they have lots of fun stories about Logan! Then we had a delicious pot roast dinner with salad and rolls and then Blondie for dessert! We shared a fun video about obedience and had a really fun time hearing about their missions in the Philippines and Brazil! It was a really great night and we had so much fun! My day was made even better when I saw your fun email in my inbox when I got back to the apartment! I was really excited to read it and hear how your week went!
